School principal assaulted in his office The principal of an Upper Hutt school's been assaulted in his office by a relation of one of the school's pupils. A 39-year-old Lower Hutt man faces charges of injuring with intent to injure after the incident at St Joseph's School in Upper Hutt. Senior Sergeant Brent Murray of the Hutt Valley Police says officers were called to the scene after the offender left principal Peter Ahern with cuts and bruises to his head. The man will appear in the Upper Hutt District Court.
