Who We Are

Harrison Tew was established in 2014 to address the lack of specialist, operationally informed emergency planning support available to schools.

Since then, the firm has supported more than 650 educational facilities nationwide, providing structured emergency management frameworks and ongoing advisory support tailored to the realities of school environments.

Our capability is grounded in decades of operational experience within the New Zealand Police and the Australian Federal Police, including roles in emergency management, protective security operations, and site-based risk assessment across complex and high-consequence environments. This experience informs a practical, decision-focused approach to preparedness - ensuring schools are equipped to respond confidently and effectively when incidents occur.

"Our initial interactions with Harrison Tew provided us with confidence that they were experts in their field.  A positive and mutually respectful relationship developed and we continue to be provided with a prompt, professional and practical service.
Tim O'Connor, Headmaster - Auckland Grammar School
